Wolves in Sheep's Clothing

đŸ›ĄïžÂ Be Alert: Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing 🐑đŸș

Not everyone who claims to walk with Christ has pure intentions. Jesus Himself warned us in Matthew 7:15:

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.”

These individuals may speak Christian words, attend church, and even appear kind—but their fruit reveals their true nature. As believers, we must stay discerning and rooted in God’s Word.

1 John 4:1 reminds us:

“Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

False teachers, manipulative leaders, and deceptive influences can creep into our lives, relationships, and even the church. That’s why discernment is a spiritual necessity—not a luxury.

Jesus tells us how to recognize them:

“You will know them by their fruits.” – Matthew 7:16

Their actions, motivations, and results of their influence will eventually reveal their heart.

So what do we do?

đŸ”č Stay in the Word – Psalm 119:105: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”đŸ”č Pray for Discernment – James 1:5: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God.”đŸ”č Stay in Community – Godly counsel protects us from deception. Proverbs 11:14 says, “In the multitude of counselors there is safety.”đŸ”č Examine the Fruit – Not by appearance or charm, but by the outcomes of their life and leadership. Galatians 5:22–23 shows what godly fruit looks like.

Let’s be loving, but not naive. Let’s walk in grace, but also in truth and vigilance. Wolves may wear wool, but they can’t mimic godly fruit.

đŸ•ŠïžÂ Stay rooted, stay watchful, and let the Holy Spirit guide you into all truth. – John 16:13
